Om oss!

Du är nu hos RFSL Sjuhärad som är en avdelning inom Riksförbundet för homosexuellas, bisexuellas, transpersoners, queeras, intersexuellas och asexuellas (HBTQI) rättigheter.

RFSL Sjuhärad bildades 10 juni 1971. Vi har sedan dess haft en verksamhet utan avbrott.
Vid årsmötet 2018 bestämdes det att vi skulle byta namn från RFSL Borås Sjuhärad till RFSL Sjuhärad.

Idag har vi en omfattande verksamhet inom HBTQI-området och har ett täckningsområde i främst Sjuhärads 8 kommuner: Bollebygd, Borås, Herrljunga, Mark, Svenljunga, Tranemo, Ulricehamn och Vårgårda. Vi arbetar också med till exempel skolinformation och Newcomersverksamhet utanför Sjuhärads gränser.

RFSL Sjuhärad arbetar för att homosexuella, bisexuella och transpersoner, samt andra personer med queera uttryck och identiteter, ska ha samma rättigheter, möjligheter och skyldigheter som andra.

RFSL Sjuhärad är en ideell förening som styrs av de medlemmar som engagerar sig samt av dess valda styrelse. Styrelsen väljs på årsmötet och får förtroendet av medlemmarna att driva föreningen framåt.

About us!

You are now at RFSL Sjuhärad, which is a local NGO within the National Association for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer rights. We also work with for example rights for intersexual and asexual. (HBTQI).

RFSL Sjuhärad was formed June 10, 1971. We have since then had a business without interruption.
At the 2018 annual meeting it was decided that we should rename from RFSL Borås Sjuhärad to RFSL Sjuhärad.

Today we have extensive activities in the LGBTQI area and have a coverage area in mainly Sjuhärads 8 municipalities: Bollebygd, Borås, Herrljunga, Mark, Svenljunga, Tranemo, Ulricehamn and Vårgårda. We also work with, for example, school information and Newcomer activities outside Sjuhärad’s area.

RFSL Sjuhärad works for homosexuals, bisexuals and transgeners, as well as other people with queer expressions and identities, to have the same rights, opportunities and obligations as others.

RFSL Sjuhärad is an NGO association governed by the members involved and by its chosen board.
The board is elected at the annual meeting and gets the confidence of the members to push the association forward.
